Hotel Turist, owned by Turist doo OIB: 21819941955, Aleja kralja Zvonimir 1, 42 000 Varaždin (hereinafter: “Tourist” or “we”) wishes to provide you with information about the purposes and conditions of processing your personal data with these Privacy Policy.

Our policy describes the type of personal data we collect and process, the reasons for processing the data, the retention period, the security measures we take to protect personal data from misuse, and the procedures you should follow if you have any questions or requests regarding your personal data.

 

The tourist processes the following categories of personal data:

• Contact data and other master data
• data on accounts and consumption
• data from the access control system
• video materials
• audio materials
• data about behavior on websites

 

Turist processes your personal data for the following purposes:

 

Accommodation reservation

When you send us a reservation request, we collect your first and last name, residential address, email address and phone number, as well as other information we need to provide you with feedback on available accommodation units.

We provide the users of the reservation system with the highest level of data protection. To confirm the authenticity of our websites and secure data transfer between your computer and our servers, we use an SSL certificate from a recognized issuer and communication encryption. All personal data, numbers of personal documents, credit cards or other means of payment that users submit through the reservation system, are transmitted exclusively via a connection secured by encryption in accordance with current international standards.

 

After the reservation has been successfully confirmed, personal data will be further processed in order to fulfill our legal obligation to register in the national eVisitor guest record center, to provide and increase the quality of the service. Which is why, in addition to the above data, we also collect the number, date and place of issuance of the personal document, citizenship, country of residence, date and place of birth.


Service Notifications

We will process your personal data for a limited time and for the purpose of sending notifications about the service, special offers, benefits, discounts, and news in our offer, for which we believe that you have expressed a clear interest, which we consider to be the realization of our legitimate interest.

At any time, you can object to this processing and opt out of receiving such messages by choosing the appropriate option in the received message.


Surveys and questionnaires

Through surveys and questionnaires, we collect information with the aim of determining your satisfaction with the service provided in our hotel. Participation in surveys is purely voluntary, as is the entry of personal data in the survey forms that are available to you in our facilities. We also use the collected data and the summary results of the conducted research to adapt the services we provide to your wishes and needs.


Promotional sweepstakes

From time to time, we organize prize giveaways through social networks. The personal data that we collect in this way are processed exclusively for the purpose of realizing the gift (e.g. publication of the name of the winner, for contacting the winner, delivery of the prize, etc.). To participate in a prize game or contest, we need your first and last name, e-mail. We will delete the collected data after 30 days from the announcement of the winner.


Resolving complaints and answering inquiries

In order to respond to all your inquiries or possible complaints, we need information about your first and last name and the email address to which we will send the requested information. If you contact us with your inquiries, we process the data you provide us exclusively to provide the requested information. After answering your query, we will delete the submitted data.
Personal data necessary to resolve complaints about the provided service are kept for one year from the date of receipt in accordance with the regulations governing consumer rights and the provision of catering services.

 

Recipients of personal data

We are obliged to submit personal data of guests to the national guest registration system – eVisitor.
Exceptionally, on the basis of a written request based on valid regulations, we are obliged to provide or provide access to certain personal data to the competent state authorities (e.g. courts, police, regulatory bodies, etc.).

 

Only when it is necessary to provide our service, personal data is forwarded to reliable partners (processors) for the purpose of enabling user support, maintaining the information system or similar needs with mandatory data protection measures.

 

Personal data protection measures

We process collected personal data with the mandatory application of appropriate legal, technical and organizational security measures to prevent any unauthorized data processing. We collect only those data that are necessary for the purpose of processing and we do not keep them for longer than is necessary, i.e. determined by law.

 

User rights in the processing of personal data

Depending on the purpose and legal basis of personal data processing, you can always request:
• access to personal data
• correction of personal data
• deletion of personal data
• limitation of personal data processing.

 

If you believe that one of your rights has been violated, you can file an objection to the processing of personal data to the national supervisory authority. In the Republic of Croatia, the supervisory authority is the Personal Data Protection Agency, Martićeva 14, 10 000 Zagreb, azop@azop.hr.
