Dinko Tomašić from our Nobel restaurant won the silver medal in the Young Chef category in the semi-finals of the prestigious European Grand Prix 2025: Global Chefs Challenge, which takes place from February 16 to 19 in Rimini.
With this impressive success, it also took third place overall for the Europe South region.
– His creativity, precision and technical skill have once again shown that Croatia has talented young chefs ready for the most demanding international competitions – the Croatian Culinary Association commented on Dinko’s result.
For the competition, Dinko prepared a main course of Van Drie veal (fillet and liver) for four people, serving each portion individually. The total time for preparing and serving the dish was 60 minutes, with an additional 15 minutes for mise en place and 10 minutes for cleaning the work area.
Patrik Prnjak and his assistant Josipa Burzelić achieved an equally notable result. In an extremely strong competition, they managed to win silver and third place in the overall standings of the Europe South region.
– Their dedication, teamwork and innovative approach to preparing dishes are yet another proof of the quality of the Croatian culinary scene. These great results are yet another confirmation of the work and dedication of Croatian chefs, who proudly represent their country on the international culinary scene. The excitement and anticipation for tomorrow’s challenges are great, and all of Croatia stands with its representatives, supporting them and cheering for new successes – said the Croatian Culinary Association.
